Workshop on Recent Advances in Absorbed Dose Standards ARPANSA, Melbourne, Australia 19-21 August 2003

A satellite meeting to the 2003 World Congress of Medical Physics Sydney, Australia, 24-29 August 2003

The main emphasis of this Workshop will be on calorimetric absorbed dose standards, but a number of papers will be accepted on other types of absorbed dose standards.
This meeting will continue a successful series of specialist conferences on calorimetric standards of ionizing radiation absorbed dose. These are held every 3 to 5 years and are attended by standards scientists from the leading National Measurement Institutes around the world.

Anyone with an interest in absorbed dose standards is encouraged to attend.

The last Workshop was hosted by the National Physical Laboratory (UK) in 1999. There were 25 attendees from Canada, UK, Malaysia, France, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, USA, Netherlands, Italy and Australia. The proceedings may be found in pdf files at:

Further details will be available closer to the date on the web sites and email group shown below.
