The WC2003 is the triennial congress of the International Union for Physical and Engineering Sciences in Medicine (IUPESM). The IUPESM represents the combined efforts of more than 40,000 medical physicists and biomedical engineers working on the physical and engineering science of medicine. Follow these links for additional information concerning the IUPESM and the two founding societies IOMP and IFMBE.

The Congress also incorporates the Annual Conference of the local colleges involved in the Congress. These are the Australasian College of Physical Scientists and Engineers in Medicine (ACPSEM), the College of Biomedical Engineers (CBME) of the Institution of Engineers Australia and the AFMBE.

The World Congress was held in Chicago in 2000 and will be held in Korea in 2006.
