World Congress on Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering

Publication Policy

Abstracts and optional 4 page papers will be peer reviewed, and included in the one CDROM for all Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering papers. This will be the official publication for IOMP and IFMBE, with two different numbers and titles, the ISSN number for the series and the ISBN number for the individual conference.

Medical physics papers (invited and contributed) that are selected by the Special Editor (Barry Allen) will be published in full (6-8 pages) in a special issue of Physics in Medicine and Biology (PMB).
Physiological measurement papers (invited and contributed) selected by the Special Editor (Nigel Lovell) will be published in full (6-8 pages) in a special issue of Physiological Measurement (PM).
Biomedical engineering papers (invited and contributed) will be considered by the Editor (Alan Murray) for publication in Medical and Biological Engineering and Computing (MBEC). Authors will be given advice and asked to update their papers based on comments received at the conference, and they will then be submitted for peer review.

All congress abstracts will be peer reviewed. All papers invited for publication in special issues of the above journals will be subject to the normal peer-review process of the journal concerned.

The editors and special editors will be at the Congress and welcome discussion with potential authors. They will also be able to give advice. Whereas the proferred 4 page papers must be submitted by the abstract closing date, papers for journal publication will be solicited during and after the Congress, and should be submitted within 6 week post-congress.
